Bill Baxter

Bill R. Baxter, age 83 of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born September 24, 1933 in Quanah, Texas to James B. Baxter and Eula (Butler) Baxter.\r\n \r\nBill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked with his son, Glenn, for 15 years before he retired. His last few years of his life, he loved watching and feeding his deer on his back porch. \r\n \r\nBill was a man of faith and always prayed before meals. He was crazy about his grandkids and great-grandkids.\r\n \r\nBill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by the love of his life, Carol, of Kerrville; daughter, Susan Baxter of Kerrville; son, Glenn Baxter of Kerrville; grandchildren Tyler Baxter and Heidi Baxter of Kerrville; and great grandchildren, Ainsley Baxter and Elliott Litz.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, September 11, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe. Private graveside services will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.\r\n
