On Wednesday morning, July 6, 2016, Bill G. Adams of Kerrville, Texas left this earth and returned home at the age of 87. He was born in Winters, Texas to L.S. and Pearl Adams on February 28, 1929.\r\n \r\nIn 1947, he graduated High School in Midland, Texas, and went on to receive a degree from Draughons Business College in Lubbock, after which he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving honorably throughout the Korean War. After leaving the military, he began a successful career in the car business lasting over sixty years, culminating in his own dealership, Bill Adams Olds-Pontiac-GMC in Slaton, Texas. Along the way, he served in many civic capacities, including time spent as President of the JayCees division of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. He also was a private pilot for over thirty years, and never lost his love of flying. During his residence in Kerrville, he became an active and cherished member of the congregation of the First Christian Church, and the warmth and love he gave and received there will always be remembered.\r\n \r\nBill is preceded in death by his father L.S., his mother Pearl, his sisters Marguerite, Neola and Lou, and his brother Les. He is survived by his daughter Kathy, his son Christopher, his grandson Travis and wife Casie, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nServices are private, and a memorial celebration of Bill's life will be scheduled on a later date to be determined at the First Christian Church in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the local community charity of your choice, or send flowers to someone you love.
