Betty Jane Cavin

Betty Jane Cavin 87 of Bandera TX passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born in Boerne, TX to Edward Dee Richardson and Leona Lilly Richardson on October 14, 1936.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Cavin and her parents. Also preceded by Tammy Cavin (daughter in law), Skyler Cavin (great grandson) and Leon Campbell (son in law.)

Betty is survived by her seven children, Thomas E. Cavin (wife) Teresa Cavin, Karon Byrd (husband) Buddy Bryd, Darrell Cavin, Becky Braun (husband) Keith Braun, Timmy Cavin, Kim Campbell and Lynn Cavin. Also, her siblings Edward Richardson, Joyce Phillips, Bertha Dooling, Roy Richardson and Jessie Richardson. Betty had 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 1 on the way.

Visitation will be July 15, 2024, from 6-9 pm at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel. Services will be held July 16, 2024, at 11am with Wayne Cavin speaking at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel, burial to follow at Bandera Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matt Cavin, Thomas Cavin III, D.J. Cavin, Keith Braun Jr, Roger Bryd, Micheal Campbell and Devin Doelling. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Wiley D’Spain, Trevor D’Spain, Taggert D’Spain, Charlie Byrd, Lane Swarthout, Case Cavin, Cameron Cavin, Caden Cavin, Colton Cavin, Karson Posey, and Karter Braun.

Family will be having a gathering at Ridin the River Cowboy Fellowship Church 5767 Hwy 173 N Bandera, Texas 78003 to follow.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
