Bertha "Louise" Terry, 87, of Lakehills, Tx passed away on June 19, 2017. She was born October 29, 1929, in San Antonio to Everett and Beulah Caughey. \r\n\r\nLouise graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1947 and met and married James Terry in 1948. She started a career as a government employee in Alaska in 1957, while Jim was stationed there. She continued at Shepherd AFB & Lackland AFB, before retiring in 1978. Jim and Louise enjoyed 57 years together RVing, hunting, and traveling and built their retirement home on Medina Lake. They were active in the community and had an "extended family" of wonderful friends. \r\n\r\nLouise is preceded in death by husband James, her parents, step-father Otto Gutschke and brother, Leroy Caughey. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her three daughters Sheryl Honeycutt (Mike), Caryn Spencer (John Haning), and Kimberly Terry; three grandchildren Jamie Miloch (Mike), Donnie Marvell (Rachael), and Shelby Terry; brother Everett (Totsy), step-brothers Robert (Paula), Roger (Jeanette); sister-in-law Barbara Caughey; special cousins Verna and Bobby Blair; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. \r\n\r\nVisitation will be Wednesday June 28 from 6-8 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera. Services will be June 29 at Lakehills Methodist Church at 10:00 am with burial at Ft. Sam Houston at 1:30 pm. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers monetary donations can be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 410 Lakehills, Texas.\r\n\r\n
