Bernard Richter

A wonderful father, Bernard E. Richter, age 73, born April 11, 1943 in Stockdale, Texas, went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2016 at 11:35 AM.\r\n \r\nHe served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1970. He was an excellent farmer and mechanic.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Richter; his daughters, Barbara L. Reed, husband, Jason and children, Michael, Wesley, and Tara; Susan A. Walker, husband, Robert and children, Britny and Dillon; Laura J. Richter, husband, Roy and children, D.J. and Colton. Also, step-daughters, Billie Gutierrez, Rebecca Trussell, Sarah DeLuco and their families. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Richter; sisters, Janie Zidek, Evelyn Lopez, Phyllis Davenport-Davis, and MaryAnn Korzekwa-Wells.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Emil M. Richter; mother, Barbara F. Richter; brother, Chester M. Richter; and granddaughter, Heather Richter.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held 3-5 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nRosary will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, August 1, 2016 with Mass following at 12 Noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comfort, Texas with Father Lawrence McLure as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Comfort Cemetery. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Jeremy Korzekwa, Frank Lee Schmidt, Michael L Rupke, Colton Richter, Dillon E. Rhodes, and Gabriel Gutierrez.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.\r\n
