Belva Jean Richardson, age 70 of Bandera, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018. She was born in Amarillo, Texas to Huton Morley Richardson and Emma Geraldine Mazurek Richardson.\r\n\r\nShe graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971 with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She was employed by Jerell of Texas in Dallas for many years. She retired in 2014 and moved to Bandera to be closer to family. Belva was an active member of the Bandera United Methodist Church, member of the Womens Bible Class. She served on the Bereavement Committee, the Kids Kingdom board and helped with the St. Nick Festival. She was interested in and actively supported various Youth Activities. For a time she delivered Meals on Wheels. A love and appreciation for plants and flowers of all kinds she had an on going green house. She was a member of the Model A Club. A Good neighbor and a kind and thoughtful person. Belva dearly loved Family get togethers and family reunions, lending a helping hand whereever needed. A favorite past-time was walking on the creek that runs through the family ranch, looking for ferns, plants and rocks.\r\n\r\nThe Twinkle in her eyes the quick friendly laugh, the quiet family support, her firm assertiveness and willingness to do whatever needed to be done will be sorely missed and not forgotten.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by a brother, Hulon Craig Richardson; parents, Hulon and Geraldine Richardson.\r\n\r\nBelva is survived by two nephews, Travis and Taylor Richardson; niece, Carolyn; a great neice; aunt, Barbara Mazurek and numerous cousins and friends.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will be January 26th at 2:00 at the United Methodist Church in Bandera.
