Beatrice Rhyne

Beatrice M. Rhyne, age 95 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born June 11, 1921 in Ancon, Canal Zone to William Wharam Mendes Monsanto and Marie Louise (Boschulte) Mendes Monsanto. On September 10, 1944, she married Harvey Glenn Rhyne in Pedro Miguel, Canal Zone. \r\n \r\nBeatrice attended Balboa High School and Canal Zone Junior College in the Canal Zone. After retiring from Civil Service in the Canal Zone, she moved to Kerrville, Texas in 1980. \r\n \r\nShe loved traveling, going on cruises, and exploring the Hill Country. She enjoyed learning about Texas history and gave tours at the Shelton Ranch and Schreiner Museum. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Glenn Rhyne; and daughter, Camille.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include son, Glenn Rhyne and wife, Sonia; daughter, Barbara Stanford and husband, Ed; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held 10 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by David Rush. \r\n
