Barbara Dayne Madrid passed away on October 14, 2021, at the very young age of 62. She was born on June 15, 1959, in Big Springs, Texas to William Verner and Frances Bell (Andrews) Conner.
Barbara was a dedicated mother who treasured her son Jacob. She showed her love and compassion to everyone. She was a fun, loving and truly a genuine person. Barbara never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved assisting at the VFW and became a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Barbara loved being at the beach. Her “happy place” was Port Aransas, Texas. She said the hot summers and cool winters with her “Winter Texan Family” gave her life balance. She spent many hours walking on the beach and watching the boats enter the channel. Barbara also enjoyed birdwatching, especially hummingbirds, listening to music, making her own jewelry, researching her family history, but most of all being surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Jacob Kindla of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Linda Heinen of Bandera, Texas, Kathy Taylor of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Shelia Wisman and husband Mark of Rio Medina, Texas; brothers, Joe Conner and Richard Conner of Elk City, Oklahoma; as well as numerous family and lifelong friends.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
