Barbara Elizabeth Johnson died Sunday, January 21, 2018 in a San Antonio hospital.\r\n \r\nBarbara was born at Canyon, TX and moved to Sanford, TX at an early age. After graduation, she married Carl Eugene Packebush and became a noted hairdresser, owning and managing salons in Kerrville and Amarillo. An active person, she joined the Potter County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy under Sheriff Jimmy Boydston.\r\n \r\nShe spent her retirement enjoying her family and loved ones, always making sure everyone was comfortable and fed between many hours of sewing and quilting.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and David (Speck) Neeley; first husband, Eugene Packebush; and brother, Marvin Loren Neeley.\r\n \r\nBarbara is survived by her loving husband, David W. Johnson; her children, David Packebush and his wife, Shirley; her daughter, Linda Kneese and Aaron Thompson; her grandchildren, Suzanne and John David Packebush, Neeley Kneese and Kelsey Kneese; great-grandchild, Justin Carl Eugene Packebush;\r\nstep-children, Michael Johnson and wife, Megan, Cindy Johnson and Debbie Foshee; step-grandchildren, Ella and Maverick, and Matthew Johnson; and one step-great-grandchild, Drake.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, January 24th through Thursday morning, January 25th.\r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Garden of Memories Cemetery officiated by Rev. Brett Coe of First Christian Church.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Michael Rensch and staff, Dr. Barrington and staff, the nursing staff at Methodist hospital, and to Aaron Thompson for countless hours of care and fellowship.\r\n \r\n\r\n
