Barbara Hanson

August 18, 1941 — April 10, 2020

Barbara Juanita Hanson, of Ingram Texas, passed away on April 10, 2020. She was born in Frazier, New Mexico, a tiny town near Roswell, on August 18, 1941. \r\n\r\nNita was the loving wife to William (Bill) Hanson, who survives. She is also survived by her brother and her three sisters. She was a wonderful mother to Cheryl Hughes, Gary Bagley, and Darla Bagley, and even more amazing Ninnie (grandmother) to Crystal Bagley, Tamara Bagley, AJ Esquivel, Michael Yamada, Zachary Bagley, Austin Esquivel, Amanda Liscano, Jessica Liscano, JJ Liscano, and Brenton Esquivel. She continued on to be a great-Ninnie to 14 great-grandchildren, Jarrett, Daniel, Kendall, Andrew, Kayleigh, Mason, Juliana, Logan, Patrick, Marco Jr., Sophia, Weston, Isabella, and Charles.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded by her parents, Bea Brackeen and McConnell Brackeen. \r\n\r\nNinnie loved to spend time with all her family, cooking and baking for them, filling the room with so much laughter, love and a few curse words from time to time. If she wasn't baking all the cakes and cookies for her family, she was busy sewing blankets and pillows for her grand and great-grandchildren. There is not a frog knick-knack or collectible doll that she did not want or love. On chilly mornings, you would find her with a Hot Toddy or, on a hot day, a smooth Black Russian.\r\n\r\nNita and Bill enjoyed traveling by car to make sure that every sight on the way to their destination was seen. Traveling to Illinois to see her mother-in-law, Cathy, was like a trip to the park; it was done so often, and many memories were built on that car ride, with plenty of elbow nudges on the way.\r\n\r\nNinnie didn't ever want a fuss of anything, however her family would like you to know that a viewing will be held Friday, April 17, 2020 between 2pm and 4pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. \r\n
