Barbara Ann Guthrie, 67, of Kerrville, passed away on April 29, 2015 at home after an all too short battle with cancer. She was born in Roswell, NM to Raymond E. and Ina Caruthers on May 17, 1947. She married Richard on August 5, 1972 in San Antonio.\r\n\r\nHer primary and secondary schooling were in Roswell. She graduated in 1970 from Texas Woman's University, Denton, TX and proceeded to work as a teacher at Lanier High School in San Antonio. After marriage she worked at numerous jobs from Airline Pilots Association in Herndon, VA; FMC Corporation, in Bowling Green, KY; Contra Costa County, CA and most recently as Administrative Assistant, Kerr County Road and Bridge Department here in Kerrville.\r\n\r\nBarbara is preceded in death by her Mother and Father and daughter Lara E. Guthrie-White.\r\n\r\nSurviving Barbara are her husband, Richard N. Guthrie; son, Matthew W. Guthrie; her brothers, Raymond and Sherman Caruthers; and her nephews and nieces.\r\n\r\nA Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 16 at First Presbyterian Church, Ingram, TX with Rev. Raymond M. Tear, officiating.
