Balentino (Val) Medrano, 90, of Kerrville, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Kyle, Texas. He was born February 14, 1928 in San Antonio to Juan and Cecilia (Aquero) Medrano.\r\n \r\nHe went to school in Kerrville. He worked for Hester's Window Covering for 50 years before retiring. After retirement, he did odd jobs around town such as yard work, window blinds and screen repairs for friends. He also kept up with his church cleaning for the Faith Christian Church, where he was Head Deacon for several years. \r\n \r\nBalentino was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Cecilia Medrano; his brothers, David and Henry; 2 granddaughters, Cecilia and Teresa Tyson; and several spouses.\r\n \r\nBalentino is survived by his current wife of Kerrville; daughters, Virginia Dailey of Buda, Christina Evans of Buda, and Ernestina Lackey of Fort Worth; sister, Susie Madrid of Ingram; 9 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at Faith Christian Church with Minister Joseph Fegenbush of Faith Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.\r\n \r\n
