Ava Parker

Ava Faye Parker, 87, of Medina, passed away on November 14, 2016, in Bandera. She was born in Tuff, Texas to Charlie and Lura Mae Walters on April 12, 1929. She married Nolus H. Parker on July 6, 1946 in Medina, Texas.\r\n\r\nShe enjoyed quilting in her spare time. Ava was an active and long time member of the First Baptist Church of Medina, Texas.\r\n\r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Nolus H. Parker.\r\n\r\nAva is survived by her daughter, Shirley Crowther and her husband, Phillip; son, James H. Parker and his wife, Sandra; sister, Elizabeth Boehle; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. \r\n\r\nFamily visitation will be held at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Oak Rest Cemetery, Medina, TX, with Rev. Bill Moseley officiating.\r\n\r\n
