SSGT August Franklin White US Army (Retired), age 81, of Kerrville, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015. He was born on January 30, 1934 in Bay City, TX to George Dewey White and Amalia Julia Schmid White. \r\n \r\nMr. White proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star. He retired from the United States Army in 1974. After being discharged from his duties, he became a Deputy Sheriff in Virginia. He was also a member of the VFW Post #1480 in Kerrville. \r\n \r\nBrothers and sisters are, Virginia Louise Weekley, William Lee White, George Whitlin White, June Elizabeth DeVeau, Joseph Oday White, Dela Mae Andrews, Julia Marie Williams, Franklin Leon White, Ethel Pearl Cousin, Ruby Lee Gillis, and Rosezelia Faye White; and was preceded in death by his wife Dottie. \r\n \r\nHe will be interred next to his wife at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida with full military honors. \r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
