Audrey Fae Starr Rix, passed into the waiting arms of her loving Savior, Monday, November 16, 2015. She was born March 15, 1929 to Lucy and Jess Starr in Blessing, TX. \r\n\r\nAudrey was raised in and around Goliad, TX. She once worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company. After her marriage to Dale she did lots of traveling around the world to places like Singapore, Australia, Nigeria and France. She and Dale settled in Bandera after his retirement. Everywhere she went she made friends. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She always had a smile or a hug to give. Most importantly she loved Jesus and her personal relationship with Him gave her great strength, comfort and peace. She loved going to church to learn and worship.\r\n\r\nShe leaves behind family and friends who loved her very much. Daughter, Carolyn Butcher of Bandera, TX, sons A.W. Williamson and wife Kathryn of Bandera, TX, Richard Rix and wife Carletta of Converse, TX and Randy Rix and wife Michelle of Tyler, TX as well as 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Edward Dale Rix, her parents Jesse Starr and Lucy Crawford, her beloved uncle and aunt Jake and Lula Starr, brothers Edmond "Buddy" Starr and Floyd Starr, sisters Maudie White and Alleyne Chambers, andher oldest son William Allen Williamson.\r\n\r\nShe will be greatly missed by her family and friends.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tarpley Baptist Church, 141 Valentine, Tarpley, TX 78883 or the church or charity of your choice.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 20, 2015, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Rev. Dick Sisk and Rev. Frank Pullin officiating.
