Audrey Lee Dupre Landry, 79, passed away at her residence in Mountain Home, TX February 24, 2015 after a long illness.\r\n \r\nAudrey was born August 26, 1935 in Washington, LA. She worked as a telephone operator for a short time before meeting her husband of 56 years and becoming a stay at home mom and wife. She loved to collect bears, to take photos and taught herself to paint. She was an avid rock collector, traveling all over the country with her husband and family hunting for gems and minerals. She loved making jewelry and running The Marfa Rock shop in Mountain Home where she and John would enjoy teaching others about gems and minerals and their hobby for rock hunting. She was an active member in the Fredericksburg Rockhound Association until her illness confined her to her home.\r\n \r\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, Edman John Landry; parents, Robert Eugene Dupre and Mary Ellen Simmons Dupre; brother, Johnny Dupre; sisters, Joyce Cope and Annie Ruth LaBlanc; son in law, Edward Franks; grandson, Nathan Landry; and granddaughter, Michelle Renee Franks.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her brothers, RL Dupre and wife, Barbara of San Antonio, TX, and Bobby Dupre of Bentley, LA; sisters, Betty Belgard and husband, Julius of Deville, LA, Geri Williams of Miami, OK, Sue Hebert and husband, Billy of Humble, TX; daughters, Naomi Xan Stewart and husband, Michael of Mountain Home, TX, Teena Marie Franks of Mountain Home, TX, Donna Jean Richards and husband, Tom of Marshville, NC, Lottie Sue McNeely and husband, Trez of Pineville, LA, Charlotte Ann Landry Barcelo and husband, Jeff of Holbrook, MA; sons, Bruce Wayne Landry and wife, Tammy of Puyallup, WA and Samuel Joseph Landry of Montana; twenty four grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.\r\n \r\nShe will be missed by many but has joined John.
