Arturo Pruneda Jr.

Arturo H. Pruneda Jr., 93, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Kerrville. He was born in Harper, Texas to Arturo Pruneda Sr. and Julia Hernandez on July 16, 1923. He married Estella Bill on June 15, 1946 in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nHe attended school in Kerrville. He retired as a foreman from Quality Ready Mix Company. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army. \r\n \r\nArturo was preceded in death by his son, Armando Pruneda, along with his parents, Arturo Pruneda Sr. and Julia Hernandez.\r\n \r\nArturo is survived by wife, Estella Pruneda; daughters, Irma McEwen, Lisa Pruneda, and Sandra Garces and her spouse Daniel Garces; son, Arturo Pruneda Jr. and his spouse Susie Johnson. Arturo is survived by brother, Antonio Pruneda and sister, Ciprana Pruneda, along with 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.\r\n \r\nRosary will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father David Wagner of Notre Dame Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.\r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Lee Moreno, Phil Lozano, Richard Bill, Danny Lozano, Mark Cervantes, and Juan Pruneda.\r\n
