Ardis Wright

Ardis Colleen Taylor Wright, age 78 of Kerrville, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 in a local care center. She was born in Jourdanton, Texas on January 19th, 1938 to Armond Brown Taylor and Carmen Evans Taylor.\r\n \r\nThe family moved to Kerrville, Texas when Ardis was three and she was raised in Kerrville, graduating from Tivy High School in 1956.\r\n \r\nArdis worked as the office manager for Inge P. Maxwell, CPA firm for ten years, then as accounting supervisor at Shelton Ranch Corporation for four and a half years. She then worked as the Accounting Controller at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital for thirteen years, retiring in 1995.\r\n \r\nArdis married Kyle M. Wright in 1990 and after retiring, they enjoyed traveling many miles in their RV. They also loved to fish for trout on their trips to Port Aransas. Ardis loved sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family.\r\n \r\nArdis was pre-deceased by her parents; an infant older brother, Mickie B. Taylor; first husband, Thomas D. Webb; and husband, Kyle M. Wright.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Linda Ann Willett and husband Scott of New Braunfels and Lisa Gail Webb of Kerrville; step-daughter, Amanda Faye Nelson and husband James of Kerrville; three grandchildren, Chase Willett and wife Wren, Taylor Willett, and Clayton Stricker; two step-grandchildren, Tanner Nelson and Mason Nelson; five great-grandchildren, Ean, Jude, Brylee, Max, and Watson.\r\n \r\nServices will be held 10 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Randall Hilburn. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. \r\n
