Anthony Menotti

Anthony Raymond Menotti, of Pipe Creek, passed peacefully on April 12, 2015, in Bandera, Texas, after a brief illness. Known as King and A.R. to many, his death came just one week after the passing of his beloved wife of sixty years, Ludie "Lou".\r\n\r\nKing was born on January 21, 1933 in Galveston County, Texas, to Jack and Angelina Menotti, the son of Italian immigrants who met on Galveston Island and who settled in Dickinson, Texas, where they raised King and his three sisters, Louise (West), Camella, and Mary (Swindell), and two brothers, Jack Jr. and Joseph.\r\n\r\nKing was a veteran, having serving in the U.S. Air Force. After his service, in 1954, he married Lou Duvall, and together they started their family in Dickinson. He had three beloved sons, Mark, Steve and Mac. King worked for Sears. King and Lou moved to Pipe Creek and together with sons, Steve and Mac, established The Feed Barn, catering to horse and animal lovers of Bandera County. With the untimely death of son, Steve, and King's illness, The Feed Barn continues to operate under son, Mac.\r\n\r\nKing and Lou shared their love for cattle ranching, horses, the race track, Vegas, the Cowboys, and the Texas way of living. Bandera County fit them like a boot!\r\n\r\nKing was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joseph; wife, Lou; and his son, Steve. He is survived by his sisters, Louise and Mary, both of Galveston County, and Camella of Fort Worth; son, Mark and life partner, Donald of Portland, Oregon; son, Mac and life partner, Sussi of Pipe Creek; and granddaughter, Shephanie Menotti (daughter of Steve) of Burlington, Vermont.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will be held on May 2, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
