Andrea Chapa

Andrea Zapata, 98 of San Antonio, Texas passed away on June 2, 2017 in Devine, Texas. She was born in Devine to Rafael Chapa and Amanda Chapa de Gutierrez on November 30, 1918. She married Thomas G. Zapata in November of 1944 in Nyack, New York. She lived in San Antonio for the majority of her life.\r\n\r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas G. Zapata; her sisters, Amada Trevino, Minerva Chapa, Adelfa Reyna, Ludivina Mendez; brothers, Juan, Carlos, Valdemar and Rafael Chapa.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her two sons, Thomas Zapata, spouse, Mary L. Zapata, nee Flores, Eino Zapata and Stacy Prehm and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nA Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.\r\n\r\nA Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Rev. Joe Walts officiating.\r\n\r\nPallbearers are, grand-daughters, Maureen Davis, Cyleen Davis, Jennifer Picou and Nicole Shannon, grandson, Eino Zapata and great grandson, Jason Davis.
