Allie Henderson

March 24, 1938 — July 29, 2015

Allie Beakley Henderson, 77 of Divot, TX, formerly from Ingram, TX, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2015. Allie fought a long courageous battle against cancer, never losing her sense of humor or her smile. Her strong faith in God sustained her through the pain. \r\n \r\nAllie was born on March 24, 1938 to Finice and Clara Anne Beakley in Center Point, TX. Allie graduated from Center Point High School. While in school, she was involved in cheerleading and basketball.\r\n \r\nAllie met, loved, and married Robert "Sonny" Henderson on December 28, 1956. They settled down to make a life together in the Texas Hill Country. Soon they became parents to three beautiful girls Tina Anne, Twila Gwen, and Treva Ellen. Allie was a busy wife and mother. \r\n\r\nThrough the years she helped her husband in his many endeavors, on the ranch, owning a café, and supporting her girls dreams. She worked at the Kerr County Detention Center as well as the business office at La Hacienda Treatment Center. She was a member of the auxiliary at Hill Country Youth Ranch and was a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Finice and Clara Anne Beakley; her brothers, Milton, Finice, Ernest, Jimmy, Bill and Roy; her sisters, Lucielle and Anna Pear; and her youngest daughter, Treva. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by her husband of 58 years, RJ "Sonny" Henderson of Divot, TX; her daughters, Tina Henderson Kahlig and husband Clarence of San Antonio and Twila Henderson of Ingram, TX; brother-in-law, Buddy Henderson and wife Gwen of Hunt, TX; grandchildren, Bryce Woolls, Lyndsey Smith (Koy), Brittany Wakeley (Charlie), Justin McCelvey, Brianne Woolls, Landon McCelvey, Tyler Fry and Kylie Fry; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Rhody Smith, Courtney Horrall, Corbin, Connor and Colton Wakeley, Ryder, Molly and Logan McCelvey; as well as many nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nShe will be remembered most for her hospitality, love of coffee, sense of humor and her ability to take a dead flower and make it grow. She could get a stain out of anything. She was most happy when surrounded by friends and family.\r\n \r\nAllie had a tradition of buying her grandchildren's high school graduation rings. She was so proud of their accomplishments and supported them in any of their endeavors.
