Alice Joanne Hinton, 82, of Kerrville, passed away on May 14, 2015 at a local care center. She was born in Pana, Illinois to Beatty and Helen Lowe on February 17, 1933. She was married to Ted Hinton on June 16, 1951 in Austin, Texas.\r\n \r\nShe graduated from high school in Lovington, Illinois. Joanne worked as a secretary after she stayed home to raise her three sons. After several moves, she and Ted ended up in Kerrville to retire in the hill country and to watch some of their grandsons grow up and play sports.\r\n \r\nJoanne is preceded in death by her father, Beatty Lowe, mother, Helen Lowe, sister, Darlene Lowe, husband, Ted Hinton, and son, Ronnie Hinton.\r\n \r\nJoanne is survived by her sons, Alan Hinton and wife Sandy of Moberly, Missouri, Jesse Hinton and wife Donna of Kerrville, Texas, brother, Larry Lowe and wife Connie of Winter Garden, Florida. She has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be from 5-7pm, Monday, May 25, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be at 10 am, Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church, Rev. John Wheat officiating. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Trinity Baptist Church Forward By Faith campaign, 800 Jackson Rd.
