Adela Centeno

Adela Centeno, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Pearland, TX. She was born on February 11, 1937 in Mexico to Leobardo and Felicita Pena Islas. On August 23, 1959 she married Margarito Centeno, Jr. Mr. Centeno preceded her death on December 30, 2014. \r\n \r\nAdela was a long time employee of the State Hospital in Kerrville, and Margarito worked for James Avery Craftsman for over 30 years. They loved to be together and with their family. \r\n \r\nSurvivors include their children, John Centeno and wife Beatrice, Richard Centeno, David Centeno, Elida Chavera and husband Roel, and Teresa Horton and husband Chris; son-in-law, Tony Valenzuela; Mr. Centeno's siblings, Gome C. Banda, Janie Gomez, Josephina Garcia, Bernarda Garcia; Mrs. Centeno's siblings, Tony Islas, Dezi Islas, Leo Islas, Esmeralda Cisneros, Barbara Sanchez, and Maria Meza; grandchildren, John Eric Centeno, Sonia Centeno, John Centeno, Laura Centeno, Adelina DeLeon, Melissa Romero, Johnny Martinez III, Leticia Valenzuela, Brandon Centeno, Marina Centeno, Olivia Centeno, Denisha Perez, Adela Centeno, Aracellie Torres, Jessica Chavera, Roy Chavera, Jr., Ashley Becker, Veronica Becker, and Ronnie Becker; and numerous great grandchildren. \r\n \r\nThey were preceded in death by their daughter, Thelma Valenzuela, and siblings, Abundio Islas, Amalia Martinez, Imelda Islas, Jose Luis Islas, Christopher Islas, Dora Islas, Maria Montemayor Islas, Estolia Molina, Isidro Centeno, Gerardo Centeno, David Centeno, Guadalupe Centeno Dickens, Joe Molina and Jesusita Centeno. \r\n \r\nThe family will receive friends at Grimes Chapels on Friday, April 10, from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 11 AM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
